TERMS & CONDITIONS

Pro Man and Van

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Pro Man and Van, operated by a sole trader (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking our services, receiving a quotation, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

3. Services Provided

Pro Man and Van provides:

  • House removals
  • Flat/Apartment      removals
  • Office removals
  • Man and Van hire
  • Furniture moving
  • Packing services      (when agreed)
  • Local and      long-distance removals
  • Storage      arrangement (if applicable)

All services are subject to availability.

  

4. Quotes & Pricing

4.1 All quotes are based on the information provided by the customer.
4.2 Prices may change if:

  • The inventory is      larger than stated
  • Access is      restricted (stairs, long walks, parking, narrow streets)
  • Additional      labour, time, or vehicles are required
  • The move takes      longer than estimated
        4.3 Parking fees, congestion charges, tolls, or fines caused by customer      instructions are payable by the customer.
        4.4 Work carried out after the agreed time may incur overtime charges.

  

5. Booking & Cancellation

5.1 A booking is confirmed once the customer receives written confirmation (email/text).
5.2 Cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice.
5.3 Less than 48 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted price.
5.4 Last-minute cancellations (within 12 hours) may be charged at the full service rate.

  

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer must:

  • Ensure items are      packed safely (unless packing service is purchased)
  • Provide accurate      inventory and access information
  • Ensure that      items will fit into the property/vehicle
  • Arrange suitable      parking for the van
  • Be present      during the move or provide a representative
  • Inspect the      vehicle to ensure nothing is left behind

We accept no responsibility for items left in property or vehicle after completion.

  

7. Our Responsibilities

We will:

  • Carry out      services with reasonable care and skill
  • Provide trained      staff and adequate equipment
  • Protect items      with blankets/straps when needed
  • Transport goods      safely and professionally

  

8. Exclusions & Limitations

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing      damage
  • Deterioration      caused by poor packing (unless we pack)
  • Damage to      IKEA-style or self-assembly furniture
  • Items that      cannot be moved due to access issues
  • Loss of keys or      security items
  • Indirect or      consequential losses

  

9. Insurance

As a sole trader removal provider, we carry Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance.

However, insurance does not cover:

  • Jewellery, cash,      watches, valuables
  • Antiques,      artwork overstated value
  • Fragile items      packed by the customer
  • Electrical items      that stop working after moving
  • Items with no      visible damage but no longer functioning

Customers should arrange additional insurance for high-value items.

  

10. Damages & Claims

10.1 Any damage must be reported immediately on the day of the move.
10.2 Claims made after the team has left will not be accepted.
10.3 We may request photos or written evidence.
10.4 Maximum liability is limited to the value of the service provided.

  

11. Delays

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Traffic
  • Weather
  • Breakdowns
  • Road closures
  • Customer      lateness
  • Incomplete      packing
  • Access      restrictions

  

12. Storage Services (if applicable)

If we arrange storage on your behalf, the storage company’s Terms & Conditions also apply.

  

13. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on      completion of the job, unless agreed otherwise.
  • We accept cash,      bank transfer, or other agreed methods.
  • Deposits may be      required for long-distance moves.

  

14. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to decline work involving:

  • Dangerous goods
  • Illegal items
  • Poor access      causing safety risk
  • Aggressive or      unsafe environments

  

15. Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website.
All content is owned by Pro Man and Van and cannot be copied without permission.

  

16. Personal Data (GDPR Compliance)

We only collect data required to:

  • Provide      quotations
  • Arrange bookings
  • Communicate with      customers
  • Issue invoices

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties unless legally required.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

We may update these Terms occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
